AVTSE ApplicationThank you for your interest in earning the VTES credential and joining the Academy of Veterinary Technician Specialists in Education (AVTSE). Our mission is to empower veterinary technicians in education with resources that elevate their skills, knowledge, and professionalism. Through this program, we aim to ignite and sustain a passion for teaching throughout the careers of veterinary technician educators, supporting those who seek to make a lasting impact on the profession and the next generation of technicians. By applying for Candidacy, you’ll embark on a journey to meet the Academy's standards of excellence, cementing your place as a specialized leader in veterinary technician education. The application process will guide you through the criteria required to qualify to sit for the credentialing exam, which signifies dedication to educational excellence and mastery within this specialized field. The application is due on May 1, roughly 90 days prior to the AVTE Annual Conference. Once your application has been approved, you will have between July 15 and August 15 to take the exam. The exam will be administered at the AVTE Annual Conference, traditionally held the first week in August. The governing committee is willing to consider an approved testing center that is not affiliated with the individual taking the exam nor the AVTSE or the AVTE.
